Yes way, Frosé! Yummy recipe for National Rosé Day.

artfullyalissa

National Rosé Day is Saturday June 9, so I wanted to kick off the summer with a tasty strawberry Frosé! This oh so popular drink offers a refreshing take on a classic, vibrant wine, and is perfect for entertaining. For those who know me really well know that I also probably love rosé so much because it is pink. To find the perfect recipe I did some research on Google and found Food Network's to be the best and easiest to try. I did adjust the recipe to include mint, and also found the ice cream maker wasn't freezing the rosé enough, so I provided tips below on how to fix those unexpected moments. Hope you enjoy your frosé, cheers!

Ingredients/Supplies

1 bottle of Rosé (750ml)

1.5 - 2 cups of strawberries

1/2 cup of sugar

1/3 cup of lemon juice (about 2-3 lemons)

Finely chopped mint

Directions

Puree the strawberries, sugar, lemon juice and rosé in a blender until smooth. If you like mint, sir in the finely chopped mint for extra flavor or use as a garnish. Pour the mixture into your frozen ice cream maker and let it mix for 45 minutes.

After I let the frosé mix for 45 minutes, I found it wasn't the slushy consistency I wanted. So I took the mixture and poured it into a low container and put it in the freezer for about an hour. Once slushy, I used a spoon to stir the rosé and poured it into a wine glass. Garnish with a strawberry and enjoy!
