Fall calls for spices, and LOTS of them! It's the time of year when rich aromas start re-emerging to compliment the changing brisk atmosphere. I've always loved making pancakes for breakfast especially for mornings with family, so why not take a delicious classic and make it fall approved?! For this specific recipe I used Better Homes & Gardens Buttermilk Pancake recipe as the base, then incorporated 3tbl cinnamon, 1/2 tsp nutmeg, and 1/2 tsp ginger to add a touch of fall to the pancakes. Then to top off the pancakes, I made a delicious apple cinnamon garnish! To make the apple mixture, you'll need the below ingredients:
INGREDIENTS
2 tbl butter
2 apples, peeled and chopped
2 tbl sugar
1tsp cinnamon
Mix everything in a spray coated skillet and stir together until the apples are warm and everything is combined. Serve over the pancakes with maple syrup while enjoying a beautiful fall morning with family! It's sure to be a new favorite.
