Festive hot chocolate tray

Oh the weather outside is frightful! Hot chocolate is the perfect way to warm up this winter and a fun treat for guests to enjoy. Every year I always see the cutest hot chocolate accessories, everything from gingerbread house mug toppers to adorable snowflake marshmallows, so I thought it would be a cute holiday moment to create a festive hot chocolate tray! When styling your tray, play around with different levels so you're able to display more hot chocolate toppings. Using mason jars and a cake stand to organize your tray help create a picture perfect display. Also be sure to have a variety of toppings for guests to choose from so everyone is able to customize the hot chocolate to their liking. Chocolate chips, Hershey's Candy Cane Kisses, and Hot Tamales are always great, classic options while Sur La Table and William Sonoma have adorable gourmet treats. I pre-made the hot chocolate however you can use a jar for hot coco powder and include a kettle for hot water.

Once your toppings are displayed, put out some holiday mugs to balance out the other side of the tray. I love the different patterns from Sur La Table's mug collection this year, so I mixed their snowman and candy cane designs because the color combination worked really well together. I would definitely suggest sticking to a color scheme so you can incorporate additional holiday decor elements. For a backdrop, I displayed simple white snowflakes so they wouldn't take away from the tray design.

Don't forget to share your hot chocolate tray designs! I'd love to see them.
