Christmas ornament tablescape

I love decorating with gold and silver holiday decor because the colors are so timeless. With only a few short weeks left until Christmas, I am so excited to share my holiday tablescape with all of you! Playing with warm gold tones and brown hues, the setting will create a peaceful and welcoming feel as you entertain your guests.

For this tablescape in particular, I found elements I really loved and wanted to incorporate, including the mercury glass candle holders, the different colored ornaments and the gorgeous gold salad plates from Crate and Barrel. The key is to pick a few elements that inspire you and that lay the foundation for the rest of your table.

Starting with the centerpiece, I began arranging different sized ornaments around the candle holders, alternating with the sparkly ornaments and shiny ones to mix it up. Creating a layered effect will give your ornaments more depth and dimension to the centerpiece. Next you'll want to set your placemats, plates and utensils. Playing up the gold color scheme, I selected these metallic placemats that subtly complimented the centerpiece and salad plates. When choosing your place setting, select a design that works cohesively with your other table decor.
