Just hear those sleigh bells jingling! While I usually set more formal table setting for Christmas, I was inspired by these adorable gingerbread house decor pieces to create an inviting and casual outdoor tablescape. From brunch to a sweet cookie swap, a casual seating can really transform any holiday gathering.
I started by placing my gingerbread houses in the center of the table given they are the focal point of the table. Next, I laid an evergreen foundation down the center of the table as a beautiful and fresh base. Moving in and around the openings, I used varying trees purchased from Pottery Barn, Michael's and our local garden center to frame up the statement gingerbread houses. I loved the simple yet elegant tree effect which created a forest around the beautiful houses. Sticking with the theme, I used adorable natural placemats topped with candy cane plates and red napkins.
If you're looking to recreate a casual holiday table, start by selecting a few 'wow' items that will draw guests eye to the center of the table. Then, mix in greenery and other decor elements such as ornaments, candles or trees for an extra magical touch.
