Pot of gold St. Patrick's Day party favors

Our annual St. Patrick's Day party is always one of my favorite events to throw each year! It's such a wonderful gathering to celebrate our Irish heritage, but also an excuse to spend time with family and friends. This year I wanted to give our guests a cute party favor as a keepsake to remember a great night! I found adorable little green cauldrons at Joann Fabrics and was inspired to create mini pots of gold. They are SUPER simple to make and only take a few easy steps!

Materials:

  • Mini cauldrons

  • Fine gold glitter

  • Mod Podge

  • Mod Podge Clear Acrylic Sealer

  • Foam sponge brush

  • Rolos

Directions:

  1. Start by adding Mod Podge with the foam brush on the surface of a cauldron. Next, sprinkle the fine gold glitter over the Mod Podge on the cauldron. Repeat until the entire cauldron is covered in glitter. You may also need to retouch some spots, so it's okay to add Mod Podge over parts of the glitter and add glitter to finesse. I also started with the tops and sides first, let them dry, and flipped it over to do the bottom.

  2. Once you're happy with how the cauldron looks, spray them outside with Mod Podge Clear Acrylic Sealer to help prevent the glitter from falling off. Let dry.

  3. As a finishing touch, place Rolos in the cauldrons for little pieces of gold!
